Oct 28, 2012 BBC iplayer and 4OD vs ITV catchup — Digital Spy I can't figure out the ITV player, I tried to watch a programme yesterday and all I got was an advert on a loop - an irritating one too I couldn't get the actual programme to play. The iPlayer is brilliant, straightforward and easy to use. I've never used 4OD so can't comment on that. The Player - Channel 5
